The Service

Excapaint is a free daily game. We may change, pause, or discontinue any part of it at any time, and we don't guarantee it will always be available.

Accounts

You can play without an account. If you sign in, you do so with a one-time link sent to your email — keep access to that email secure, as anyone with it could access your account. You're responsible for activity under your account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• disrupt, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service;
• scrape, harvest, or use automated means to hammer the Service;
• reverse-engineer or misuse the Service in ways that harm us or other players.

Intellectual property

The artworks are sourced from public collections such as The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Art Institute of Chicago, and are generally in the public domain; each painting is credited to its source. The Excapaint name, design, artwork of the game itself, and code are ours and may not be copied or reused without permission.

Art facts

The "fun facts" shown during play are generated by AI for entertainment and education and may contain inaccuracies. Please don't rely on them as authoritative.

Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. The Service is free.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
